DayZ Melatonin — Setup Guide

Follow the steps below to get Dayz Melatonin working on your system.

IMPORTANT: Ensure everything in the support tool shows green before downloading or running the loader.

Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ from the link above.
Uninstall any antivirus software completely.
Disable Real-Time Protection in Windows Defender using Defender Control .
Close all games and launchers (Steam, Origin, Battle.net, etc.).
Disable all overlay software (Discord, GeForce Experience, MSI Afterburner, MedalTV, etc.).
Disable Game Mode and GPU Hardware Acceleration in Windows settings.
Ensure the game or launcher is not running as administrator.

Download the loader and move it to your USB flash drive.
Run the loader as administrator and log in using your key from the purchase email.
Click “Start” and wait for the success message.
Close the loader and safely remove the USB from your PC.
Open your launcher and start the game.
Set the game display mode to “Borderless” or “Windowed”.

Restart your computer and repeat the setup steps.
Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ from here .
Completely disable Windows Defender using Defender Control .
Ensure all other antivirus software is fully uninstalled.
Remove or disable anti-cheat software such as FaceIt, Vanguard, or ESEA.
Disable overclocking tools and remove software like MSI Afterburner. Reset BIOS settings to default if needed.
Ensure Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS.
Disable Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) in Windows Device Security.
Make sure Windows is fully up to date (Windows 11 recommended).
